William Blake

(1757-1827)

English poet, artist, and printmaker who is considered one of the greatest figures of the Romantic Age. He was born and raised in London, where he apprenticed as an engraver and became skilled in the art of printmaking. Blake was a deeply spiritual and visionary artist who believed in the power of imagination and the transformative potential of art.
